Who is eligible for this free service?
Adults aged 40 and over who have not had a blood pressure check in the last 6 months and have not previously been diagnosed with high blood pressure (hypertension). GP practices can also refer patients directly to us.

What to know before your appointment
Avoid caffeine beforehand
For the most accurate reading, avoid caffeine, smoking, and strenuous exercise for at least 30 minutes before your appointment.
Wear comfortable clothing
We'll place a cuff on your upper arm, so wear something with loose or easy-to-roll sleeves for easy access.
Sit and rest for 5 minutes
Arrive a few minutes early and try to relax before your check. Stress and activity can temporarily raise your reading.
